Misc Wire/Cable (Aluminum & Copper) Cable Tray

Location:  This item is located near Cleveland, VA

Condition: Surplus

Description:  The lot includes, loose,  partial reels and some full reels of aluminum and copper wire/cable, most are insulated; some stranded and solid copper grounding wire; some plastic flue gas sampling tubing with control wire; some heat trace wrap; and cable tray.  Buyer must take all wire/cable and cable tray including reels and any packaging.   Photos are attached to represent the materials and condition of the items included in the Lot.  Please note the photos are meant for representation and the items actually present at the close of the auction may change some as the Seller continues to consolidate surplus materials.

The miscellaneous wire/cable/tray are being offered on a price per pound for all the materials in the lot. The actual weight of the lot will be determined when loaded for removal from the site and weighed as a Lot including any packaging and of reels.  The plants scales will be used to determine weight.  Payment prior to determining actual weight will be determined by high bid price per pound times the Weight for Prepayment (40,000 lbs).  The Buyer will be required to make payment before actual weight is known using the Weight for Prepayment (40,000 lbs).  After the actual weight is determined an adjustment will be made either a refund to the Buyer or an Invoice for additional payment to the Seller.

Example:  High bid was $0.45 for one pound.  The actual weight was determined to be 39,000 lbs.
 Up Front Payment would be  $.45 X 40,000 lbs = $18,000 plus any applicable sales tax
 Refund to Buyer after items are picked up  Weight for Prepayment 40,000 lbs - Actual Weight 39,000 lbs = 1000 lbs under;  1000 lbs X $0.45 =$450.00 plus sales tax paid REFUNDED to Buyer.

The Seller will load the material on the Buyer's appropriate transport vehicle.  Buyer is responsible for securing the materials.  The loaded materials will include any packaging, reels, bindings, and wraps and their weight will be included in the weight of the lot for payment.  Pallets, wood pieces, and reel pieces not containing the wire/cable will not be loaded.  The Seller will not strip the wire/cable from the reel. 

The metal grades and quantities are unknown.  It is the responsibility of the Buyer to satisfy itself with the material break down prior to submitting a bid.   In the event that the actual quantity or quantity breakdown is different than the Buyer was expecting there will be no adjustment to the unit price.

Conditions for sale of AEP Surplus Equipment / Material:

~ All Items are sold AS IS WHERE IS.  No warranty given or implied.
~ Inspections are on the potential Buyers time and expense and must be scheduled in advance.
~ Test operation of the item will not be permitted.
~ Buyer will be required to sign a Bill of Sale and pay any applicable taxes.
~ After payment clears, the Buyer can arrange for pick up.
~ Seller will assist with loading with a fork truck. 
~ Buyer must present a copy of the pickup release at the time of pickup.
~ Buyer shall have appropriate hauling equipment for the item(s) being picked up.
~ Buyer is responsible for positioning and securing the item(s) on the transport vehicle.
~ If applicable AEP branding decals will be removed prior to the sale.
